Local Area
Ynyslas beach, sand dunes and the Dovey (‘Dyfi’) Estuary are all part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve.
The visitors center, located between the beach and the sand dunes opens from Easter through to September, offering information on all the plants and wildlife in the reserve.
A quarter of a million people visit the Ynyslas sand dunes each year.

There is a local railway station with trains running up the coast through Aberystwyth, Ynyslas on up to Machynlleth and on round the coast. Steam trains sometimes pass in the summer.
